The Areas of France we cover

We have divided each of the Départements we cover into a number of areas and linked that area to what seems to be the most dominant town of the district. Inevitably though many areas will encompass other towns of not much different size and all areas will include several subsidiary towns.

The choice of the principal town is necessarily subjective. Our areas may not coincide with the 'Pays' that are the smaller administrative districts of France - it's unlikely that they would be recognised by the foreign buyer anyway. It's also probable that our choice of the headline town will differ from someone else's idea of which is the most significant settlement.

Accordingly to get information about the area you are particularly interested in your best plan may well be to refer to the maps and the information provided on the individual Region and Département pages.
